Kenai Peninsula Residents Come Out To Thank Swan Lake Fire Heroes

first_imgFacebook0TwitterEmailPrintFriendly分享Kenai Peninsula residents showed up in full force on Monday night at Soldotna Creek Park to say thank you to the men and women who have been tirelessly fighting the Swan Lake Fire. With the new team, residents should expect to see similar fireline operations.  Firefighters will continue to patrol and mop-up fire control lines near the west flank of the fire near Sterling, and on the east flank of the fire by Fuller Lake, Resurrection Trail, Sterling Highway and Skilak Lake. Crews will continue to cut down hazard trees, repair dozer lines, pull hose from the Skilak Road area and continue to reinforce the firelines on the east flank. Firefighters in Cooper Landing will continue to work on structure protection measures. The event was put on Senator Peter Micciche: “What I wanted to do was provide an opportunity for folks in the community to look the men and women in the yellow shirts and green pants in the eyes and say thank you for getting us through this.” The process is complete of transitioning from one Incident Management Team (IMT) to another. The Great Basin Incident Management Team 1 personnel have been working with their counterparts on Northern Rockies Team 4 over the weekend and team 4 has officially taken command of the fire as of Tuesday morning. The Fire remain at 163,686 acres, and is now at 34% containment.last_img read more

The patch includes MFi compatibility for iPhone and iPad, and also begins its rollout of 60Hz refresh-rate support on Android.Epic’s suggested Bluetooth options for Android include the SteelSeries Stratus XL, Gamevice, Xbox One wireless, Razer Raiju and Moto Gamepad. Fortnite Razer,I’m shocked — shocked! — to learn that stores are turning Labor Day into an excuse to sell stuff. Wait — no, I’m not. As much as I respect the original intent of the holiday (which became official back in 1894), to most of us, it’s just a bonus day off — one that’s blissfully tacked onto a weekend. So, yeah, stores; go ahead, run your sales. I’m listening. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Labor Day doesn’t bring out bargains to compete with the likes of Black Friday (which will be here before you know it), but there are definitely some sales worth your time. For example:We’ve rounded up the best Labor Day mattress deals. We’ve also gathered the best Labor Day laptop deals at Best Buy.The 2019 Vizio P Series Quantum is back under $999.Be sure to check out Amazon’s roughly three dozen Labor Day deals on TVs and audio. Liberty Globalbacked Belgian cable operator Telen

first_imgLiberty Global-backed Belgian cable operator Telenet has acquired the local cable network of the Brussels municipality of Etterbeek.Telenet has offered TV, internet and fixed telephony services over the Etterbeek network since 1997 through a contract with the municipality. The latter decided to sell the network on expiration of this contract at the end of 2018, leading Telenet to take the decision to acquire it.The operator said its ownership of the Etterbeek network would give more end-to-end control over its current and future quality, as is the case in other municipalities in Brussels where it is already present.Telenet, which principally operates in the Flemish part of Belgium, said that the acquisition meant it is now the owner of all cable infrastructure over which it provides services in the Belgian capital. The operator also provides services in the Brussels municipalities of Ganshoren, Koekelberg, Jette, Schaerbeek, Berchem-Sainte-Agathe and Forest. Through the acquisition of the SFR/Numericable network in 2017, it additionally operates in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, City of Brussels, Watermael-Boitsfort, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Anderlecht and Molenbeek-Saint-Jean.last_img read more
