first_imgThe Duchess of Cambridge has been praised for providing a “real boost” to the staff and volunteers of a Hampshire hospice she visited on her second wedding anniversary.Video: EACH Royal Patron, HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, supports Children’s Hospice WeekHer Royal Highness travelled to Naomi House in Hampshire, an institution that supports young people with life-limiting conditions, to celebrate Children’s Hospice Week.The Duchess has already marked Children’s Hospice Week by recording her first video message, released on Sunday, which appealed for support for the initiative aimed at raising awareness and funds. The week, which runs until Friday, is run by UK children’s palliative care charity Together for Short Lives.Professor Khalid Aziz, chairman of Naomi House, which was opened by The Prince of Wales in 1997, said: “We are delighted that Her Royal Highness has chosen Naomi House to visit at the start of Children’s Hospice Week.“Her presence has provided a real boost for our families, our volunteers and all our dedicated staff who were thrilled to meet her.”The Duchess previously visited the hospice privately in 2008.Source:dukeandduchessofcambridge.orglast_img
