first_imgRookie batsman Rahul Tripathi played a breathtaking knock of 93 to singlehandedly take Rising Pune Supergiant to a four-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. (POINTS TABLE | SCORECARD)The Pune bowlers put up a disciplined effort to limit KKR to 155 for eight before Tripathi fashioned his team’s win with a 52-ball blinder.The visiting team got home with four balls to spare with Tripathi missing out on a well deserved hundred. HIGHLIGHTS: Kolkata never really had enough runs on the board although the total was afighting one. However, Tripathi’s blitzkrieg deflated the hosts and they never really recovered from it. Woakes had a brilliant outing with theball and his strikes did generate a bit of interest in the game whileKuldeep was tidy towards the end. However, they were probably just 15runs short at the break and it came down to that margin eventually. Fairly comfortable win for Pune. It did get a bit too close for comfort butthey managed to get across the line with ease eventually.
